It is definitely worth it! You can see the whole Balos Lagoon from above as well as the beach connection of Tigani Island and Crete island. The water in the lagoon is amazingly turquoise and warm. The lagoon has approximately 450 - 500 meters in diameter and it is not deep at all which is perfect for families with children.
